Bernard Tan, formerly of firm Maddocks , has been appointed special counsel in the Cutler Hughes & Harris property group.
Tan is an experienced property lawyer who specialises in property development and advising property trusts and investment schemes. He presently acts for publicly listed and private property developers, along with providing regular advice on capital raisings for property projects and managed investment schemes.
Tan’s expertise is in the aged care sector, with specialist skills in retirement village and nursing home matters. His appointment is expected to improve the firm’s ability to meet the needs of organisations operating in, or considering entering, the aged care market, as well as serving Cutler’s client base in the health industry.
The firm has a well respected property team in the Sydney market, and advises on some of the largest property portfolios in Australia. Clients include private, institutional, statutory and government owners, and developers of major commercial and industrial projects.
