New chairman at Duncan Cotterill

RICHARD RAYMOND has taken up the reins as the new chairman of trans-Tasman firm Duncan Cotterill.

Raymond is a litigation specialist who joined the firm in 1997 and became a partner in 1998. Over this time, his practice has involved a significant volume of insurance-related litigation as well as a large commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice. He acts for several of New Zealand’s biggest insurers, primarily in the defence of professional service providers, including engineers, architects, accountants, project managers, brokers and solicitors.

Prior to joining the firm, Raymond worked in commercial litigation in Wellington and London and for several years he was a senior crown counsel with the Crown Solicitor in Christchurch.
