People + Culture Strategies (PCS) has acquired a boutique firm to launch its new Brisbane office.

PCS Brisbane will open for business on 1 May.

The founding principal of boutique employment and industrial relations firm Latitude Lawyers, Susannah McAuliffe (pictured), will head the new office supported by three senior associates.

Before launching her own firm, Ms McAuliffe was the employment law director at the National Retail Association for eight years. She has also worked in the employment law practices of McCullough Robertson and Herbert Smith Freehills.

PCS’s move into Queensland follows the launch of a Melbourne office in October 2014.

Managing partner Joydeep Hor founded the firm in Sydney in 2010.

Earlier this month, PCS recruited M+K Lawyers principal Deivina Peethamparam, who joined the firm as a director in the Melbourne office.

With the addition of four lawyers in Brisbane, PCS will have a total of seven directors and 30 staff.
