A national law firm has hired an energy and resources partner from London law firm CMS Cameron McKenna.

Johnson Winter & Slattery has recruited energy and resources partner Amanda Seaton as a partner in its Adelaide office.

In another appointment, the firm has appointed dispute resolution lawyer, Richard Lilly, as a senior associate in its Perth office.

Seaton has practiced in the energy and resources sectors in both Australia and the UK, advising on resources development, market regulation, price and access regulation and related transactions, the firm said.

JWS’ new recruit has specialist expertise in electricity, with wide- ranging experience in jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, continental Europe and Australia. Seaton has also been involved in renewable energy and climate change regulation.

Seaton was previously a partner in the energy, projects and construction group of CMS Cameron McKenna LLP.

Lilly practices as a dispute resolution lawyer with a particular emphasis on competition and market regulation and project related litigation, servicing clients in the energy and resources sectors.
