HERBERT Geer has recruited three projects and construction lawyers from rival Melbourne firm Holding Redlich.

St John Frawley has joined as partner in the Melbourne office, with special counsel Catherine Bell and senior associate Kane Barrett.

Frawley brings to Herbert Geer 20 years experience in the construction, engineering and infrastructure area, having acted for a range of institutional and private commercial clients.

Frawley was recently named as one of the 20 leading lawyers in the construction and engineering area in Australia and New Zealand.

The firm's projects and construction team now comprises 6 partners and more than 20 lawyers in the eastern states of Australia, making it one of the largest dedicated practices nationally. "That is very exciting for us”, said managing partner Bill Fazio.

Frawley joins partners Paul Deschamps and Doron Rivlin in Sydney and Paul Muscat in Brisbane, and National Projects and Construction team leader, Josh Marchant based in Melbourne.

“We know and respect [Frawley] well and are delighted that he, [Bell] and [Barrett] have decided to join us, further enhancing our expertise and depth” said Marchant.

Frawley himself said Herbert Geer presents an opportunity to be part of an "energetic, successful and growing firm".
