Norton Rose Sydney has hired a corporate partner from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he was co-head of the firm's China business group.

NORTON Rose Sydney has hired a corporate partner from Corrs Chambers Westgarth, where he was co-head of the firm's China business group.  


Anthony Latimer has joined Norton Rose Australia in what is the 12th lateral hire for Norton Rose Australia since it merged with Deacons. 


Latimer was also head of the PNG Business Group at Corrs, advising clients in sectors including energy and resources, transport and logistics, and, manufacturing and financial markets.


“Anthony’s appointment strengthens our client service offerings in resources, energy, transport and infrastructure across the Asia Pacific region and he brings added depth to our strong China business," said Elizabeth Hallett, partner and practice group leader for Norton Rose's corporate practice.


"He has extensive experience in industry sectors that align with our key strategic areas and his appointment is an excellent strategic match to our practice."


Latimer has worked on several major cross-border transactions involving corporations in Australia, China, Papua New Guinea, Brazil, South Africa, Canada and the USA.
