Former general counsel joins Kemp Strang

A former GE general counsel has joined Sydney-based commercial law firm Kemp Strange as partner in the banking and finance practice.

A former GE general counsel has joined Sydney-based commercial law firm Kemp Strange as partner in the banking and finance practice. 


Patrick Dwyer's appointment was confirmed today by Kemp Strange managing partner Michael Joseph. 


Joseph said the appointment will expand the firm's capabilities within the financial services sector.


“Patrick’s extensive experience in regulatory compliance complements our existing banking and finance practice and will allow Kemp Strang to provide an even broader range of legal services,” said Joseph. 


“The appointment aligns with our growth plans for the next three years, ensuring we can provide our clients with holistic legal services and the specialist expertise they’ll need in the future.”


Dwyer was formerly a Partner at Langes + Lawyers, and before that held a general counsel role at GE.
