Senior tax lawyer joins Minters

Minter Ellison has announced the appointment of Paul King as a senior tax counsel in its tax practice.

Minter Ellison has announced the appointment of Paul King as a senior tax counsel in its tax practice. 

Based in the Sydney office, King joins from Greenwoods & Freehills, where he had been a director since 1988. 

The head of Minters’ tax division, Rhys Guild, said he was delighted to welcome a practitioner of Mr King's seniority and market reputation to the team.

"[Paul is] a trusted advisor to major banks and financial institutions, state governments, managed funds and large development and construction companies, and has advised many offshore investors and funds on the acquisition of Australian assets. With his very considerable transactional and compliance experience, Paul will be a great addition to our team," said Guild.

King holds Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Sydney.

He is a member of the Property Council’s Taxation Sub-Committee, the Law Council of Australia Tax Sub-Committee and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia Tax Committee.
