Firm appoints entertaining lawyer

Brisbane law firm McCormicks has appointed former professional actress, TV presenter, coach and writer Rebekah O’Sullivan as a lawyer.

After 15 years in the media and entertainment space, 11 of which were spent running her own business, O’Sullivan decided to pursue a career in law.

A Global Entrepreneurship Scholarship from Bond University took her to the University of Southern California, a leading American university in the areas of intellectual property, internet, contract and entertainment law.

In the US, O’Sullivan gained experience in Los Angeles film studios and entertainment and IP firms.

O’Sullivan will work with McCormicks’ clients across the music, media and entertainment industries, as well as those in the commercial space.

O’Sullivan holds a Juris Doctor in Law from Bond University and USC (USA); a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Professional Acting and Voice from Rose Bruford College, Manchester University; a Bachelor of Arts Creative in Theatre Studies, Journalism and Communication from USQ, and a Licentiate Diploma in speech, effective communication and performance from Trinity College London.
