Pipers Hunts down new partner

Piper Alderman has added a new partner to its Melbourne employment relations team.

Tim Lange (pictured) was previously a partner in Hunt & Hunt’s workplace relations practice.

Lange has more than 13 years’ experience in the legal industry.

His areas of expertise encompass a wide range of employment and industrial relations matters, including: the drafting and negotiation of enterprise agreements and awards; resolving industrial disputes, terminations and unfair dismissals, and employment contracts and policies. He also deals with issues around employee records and privacy, anti-discrimination and work health and safety.

His client base includes commercial organisations from a range of sectors, including: professional services, health, transport, retail, telecommunications and construction.

Commenting on his new role, Lange said: “I am excited to be joining Piper Alderman. I am looking forward to the great opportunities involved, and I’m grateful for the strong support of clients in making this move to such a well-regarded national team.”

Piper Alderman’s managing partner, Tony Phelps, said: “Tim’s practice and client base is an excellent fit with our Melbourne office and employment relations team nationally. He is another example of the great talent the firm has been able to attract, following a number of new partners appointed in the past 12 months.”

Pipers doubled the size of its Brisbane office this year when it nabbed a dozen lawyers from Hynes Legal and a corporate transport team from Cooper Grace Ward.
