Brisbane-based firm Cooper Grace Ward (CGW) has raided global and national firms in making six new hires.
Jeff Hollindale (pictured) has joined CGW as special counsel in the firm’s commercial practice, following a brief in-house stint at QSuper and, prior to that, five years at Clayton Utz.

Before Clayton Utz, the experienced M&A lawyer spent more than five years in the UK, working at London-based commercial firm Marriott Harrison.
The property, planning and environment team has gained senior associate Leanne O’Neill, who brings 14 years’ experience in government, nine of which she spent representing the State of Queensland in negotiations and litigation.
Two other senior associates, Kate Whalan and Kimberley Villis, have joined CGW’s insurance team.
Whalan spent 12 years at Brisbane-based Mullins Lawyers, while Villis has moved to CGW from Crown Law, where she acted for WorkCover for more than five years.
The insurance team has also welcomed lawyer Rosemary Gibson, who will work within the transport and marine subgroup. Gibson joins the firm after two years in the litigation and dispute resolution practice at Herbert Smith Freehills.
A lawyer from national firm Moray & Agnew Lawyers completes CGW’s lateral hires. Litigation lawyer Natasha Millington will advise and act for professional indemnity, directors & officers, and financial lines insurers.
CGW has 22 partners and more than 230 legal and support staff.
