HWL’s loss is Minters’ gain

A Kelly & Co partner has quit days before the firm’s acquisition by HWL Ebsworth became official.

Corporate, energy and resources partner Andrew Corletto joined Minters’ Adelaide office today (14 July), the same day HWL officially took over Kelly & Co.

Corletto had been a partner at Kelly & Co for more than 14 years. He is also a former company secretary and corporate counsel with the Normandy Mining group.

Corletto is the second Kelly & Co partner to jump ship this past month. Banking & finance head Martin Lovell left the firm on 26 June to join SA firm Laity Morrow.

Earlier this month, HWL nabbed a special counsel from Minters in Perth.

Update: The HWL Ebsworth Adelaide office was officially launched today (14 July), rather than the originally intended 1 July 2014.
