Eyers will lead probate and estate and superannuation planning at Keypoint Law.

Eyers previously worked as a partner at Ashurst and Atanaskovic Hartnell. He was the director at Macquarie Corporate Finance and is a Member of the Order of Australia.

He has held senior roles in federal and state government departments, including deputy CEO of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, director of Housing for NSW, and as an adviser to the NSW department of premier and cabinet.

Keypoint Law is the new Australian branch of a London-headquartered firm, Keystone Law. The firm does not set billable-hour targets for lawyers and offers fee earners a greater cut of their personal fee earnings than other Australian firms.

Michael Eyers is among seven senior lawyers to join Keypoint Law since it launched in Australia in May 2014.

Before Eyers, the most recent move was the appointment of Iain Hogg to the corporate and commercial practice in June 2014. Hogg was formerly the legal director of MRC Global, a distributor of products and services to the energy and industrial markets.
