Rebecca Burness, who joined de Groots in 2004, has been promoted to associate. She specialises in estate administration and estate planning and became a succession law-accredited specialist in 2007.

Hannah Avenell, who works in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation in the firm’s Sydney office, has been appointed as a lawyer. Anevell has been with the firm for more than nine years in the firm’s Brisbane and Sydney offices, working her way up from an administrative to a paralegal role and now one as a lawyer.

Milton Latta has been appointed as a lawyer in the firm’s estate planning and litigation teams in Brisbane. Before becoming a lawyer, Latta gained experience as a mechanic and in small business.
