ADELAIDE-BASED FIRM Wallmans Lawyers has recruited a senior associate and an associate, while making a number of internal promotions.

Nicole Harris joined as senior associate to work in the firm’s planning, environment and local government team. She brings more than five years’ experience and will focus on servicing the local government client group. New associate Stephanie Burke has joined the litigation and dispute resolution practice.

Promoted from within the ranks of Wallmans are Andrew Fisher, Brian Paris and Tristan Gerke.

Fisher has risen to senior associate in the business and commercial practice. He has experience in commercial property law, including all aspects of leasing and the sale and purchase of major buildings. Fisher advises clients on issues such as stamp duty, taxation generally, restraints of trade, partnerships, and wills and estates.

Joining Fisher, Paris has also been promoted to senior associate in the business and commercial practice. Paris has experience in the preparation of commercial documents, including retail leasing, sale and purchase of businesses, buildings and licences, and due diligence investigations. He also has experience in the area of wills and estates.

New associate Gerke has been appointed in the litigation and dispute resolution practice. Gerke has been involved in major corporate disputes and also has experience in advising on local government regulatory law including advice on the Public and Environmental Health Act; Dog and Cat Management Act and Food Act.
