ADELAIDE-BASED firm DMAW Lawyers has appointed Paul Dugan as partner and David Meegan as senior associate.

Both men will form part of the dispute resolution team, bringing particular skills in the management of large and complex disputes.

Most recently in-house counsel at Sheahan Lock Partners, Dugan previously held senior positions at ASIC and other national firms. During this time he provided in-house legal and strategic advice and representation to insolvency practitioners with a particular focus on recoveries through the pursuit of legal claims, also working as a senior lawyer with the corporate regulator.

Dugan’s experience ranges from advising on insolvency administrations — including the conduct of investigations, the pursuit of recoveries and the rights and obligations of insolvency practitioners and affected parties — to the investigation and resolution of complex corporate, commercial and insurance disputes, and industrial relations and employment law.

Graduating with honours, he was admitted to legal practice in 1986.
