An experienced commercial property partner, McCarthy has nearly six years’ experience as a corporate partner in Corrs Chambers Westgarth’s public law group.

“[McCarthy] is highly regarded for her ability to effectively implement commercial arrangements for government, typically in a statutory or regulated environment, with the private sector. She has particularly strong client relationship skills and understands the needs of government,” John Clark, head of the government practice group, said.

McCarthy brings nearly two decades of experience, at Corrs and Freehills, advising national corporations such as Lend Lease, Westfield, Westpac, ING, Mirvac, Stockland, Woolworths and Telstra on commercial property transactions.

McCarthy expects to focus principally on commercial property transactions for key clients such as the Department of Finance and Administration, Airservices Australia, Centrelink, the Australian Taxation Office, the Department of Defence and the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
