McCullough Robertson has appointed Dr Myles McGregor-Lowndes OAM as a consultant. Dr McGregor-Lowndes is a professor in the Faculty of Business at the Queensland University of Technology and Director of the Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies. The Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies conducts postgraduate courses and research degrees in philanthropy and non-profit studies, research and community services activities that contribute to the development of philanthropy, volunteerism and management of non-profit organisations.
Dibbs Abbott Stillman has promoted Fiona Chapman to senior associate. She works within the corporate advisory department, and undertakes refinancing and general corporate work. Chapman has more than seven years experience in a number of practice areas, including corporate and commercial law, insolvency, duty and taxation.
Chris McCaffery has joined Bartier Perry as a consultant in the firm’s commercial team. McCaffery, a founding partner of Eakin McCaffery Cox, brings a wide ranging commercial practice with particular emphasis on commercial agreements and succession planning.
Fabrizio Porcaro has joined the commercial section of Adelaide-based firm Donaldson Walsh as a partner. He practises in commercial law and specialises in taxation.
Clayton Utz life sciences partner Robyn Baker will join the board of Melbourne-based biotech Metabolic Pharmaceuticals Limited on 31 October. She brings to the board expertise in law, management, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Clayton Utz said Baker has extensive experience in the life sciences sector with a focus on health, health insurance, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and aged care.
