Genevieve Overell and her property team at KPMG Legal’s Melbourne office have moved to Sparke Helmore.

Graham Carter has recently joined the E&R team at Clayton Utz. He is based in Brisbane as an in-house native title and cultural heritage consultant. Carter has experience assisting mining and infrastructure developers through native title and cultural heritage approval processes and specialises in negotiations with indigenous stakeholders. He was formerly in-house counsel and senior policy officer for the Victorian Government with the Department of Justice (Native Title). Carter has also worked as a solicitor for Aboriginal organisations in Queensland, Victoria and the ACT.

Baker & McKenzie partner Martijn Wilder has been appointed to the advisory panel to the NSW Greenhouse Office. Wilder has extensive experience in the area of climate change and has provided advice to national and international organisations such as the World Bank’s Carbon Finance Unit, the European Commission and the UN Environment Program. He also recently accepted the award for the Environment Practice of the Year at the Australian Law Awards on behalf of Baker & McKenzie.

Following the merger of Lees Marshall Warnick with McDonnells Solicitors, from 1 July the Brisbane partners of Lees Marshall Warnick, including managing partner Don Macpherson, and staff will join MacDonnells Solicitors in new premises.
