DLA Phillips Fox has lured two senior superannuation lawyers, Heather Gray and Andrew Fairley, from Holding Redlich.

Gray, a partner, and Fairley, a consultant, are both based in DLA Phillips Fox's Melbourne office. As superannuation regulation has become increasingly prescriptive, Gray has been heavily involved in restructuring superannuation arrangements, fund mergers, fund closures, the establishment of new fund divisions and the updating of fund documents.

Fairley specialises in the area of industry funds, and he has represented trustees of many industry funds throughout his career. In 1984 he founded the Law Council of Australia's Superannuation Committee and he remained on that Committee until 2002, chairing it for nine years. In 1993 he founded Australia's first specialist superannuation law firm which later merged with Holding Redlich in 2003.
