National patent and trade mark attorneys Fisher Adams Kelly (FAK) has announced the addition of two new attorneys to its team, including former Pizzeys partner Andrew Dark as special counsel and Fraser Smith as a patent and trade mark attorney.

Dark, who joins FAK after five years with Pizzeys, brings with him 20 years industry experience and explains his move as being motivated by current trends in the chemistry sphere.

Dark possesses extensive domestic and international portfolio management experience for industrial chemical clients, particularly in the fields of petrochemicals, paints, multilayer film technology, wood treatment and material science. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and is a registered Patent and Trade Marks Attorney in Australia and New Zealand.

Dark's arrival at FAK was preceded by Fraser Smith, who ended his four year tenure at Cullens, to join FAK before Christmas. Smith is a specialist in mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, particularly computer hardware, software, communications, embedded systems, control systems, and signal processing.

Dark will join FAK's chemistry team in Melbourne, while Smith will serve engineering clients out of the firm's office in Brisbane.
