Partner bids goodbye to Allens

A former partner at Allens has moved across to Landers & Rogers to lead the firm’s M&A practice in Sydney.

Alex Ding spent 20 years with Allens during which he headed the China practice group and capital markets team. He has advised on investments in large-scale projects and resource and energy industry deals in Australia and abroad.

“I am delighted to be joining Lander & Rogers’ corporate offering in Australia ... the firm is increasingly undertaking work for clients based in Asia, which is strongly aligned with my own client base and practice,” Ding said.

Lawyers Weekly sought an interview with Ding but he was not available for comment prior to publication.

Landers recently acquired another corporate partner, Deanna Constable. Constable previously worked as the general counsel from Mitsubishi Development Ltd.

In May, the firm appointed Greg Spring as the new CFO and Pier Advisory founder Jeffrey Naqvi as the head of the business development and marketing.
