Agribusiness Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises the agribusiness lawyer who has most effectively adapted to this rapidly changing sector.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of Australian agribusiness organisations. This includes, but is not limited to, organisations that manufacture, distribute or sell land, livestock, dairy, grains, chemicals and wool.

It is open to all in-house lawyers who have been employed in an agribusiness organisation that has been active for at least two full financial years and is registered in Australia.

To be eligible for this award, the lawyer needs to demonstrate completed activities for the organisation in the 12 months from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017.

Assessment Criteria:

Nominees will be judged on their responses to the following:

  • Outline the biggest or most noteworthy agribusiness deals you have been involved with.
  • How have you ensured your organisation has kept up to date with, and adapted to, evolving regulatory requirements within the agribusiness sector?
  • Demonstrate how you have successfully implemented key strategies to ensure the best outcomes for the organisation.
  • What makes you stand out as an agribusiness lawyer?
