Blakes and Minters advise on clean venture

Blakes and Minters advise on clean venture

Blake Dawson and Minter Ellison have advised on a joint venture to market Clean TeQ's water treatment technologies to the coal seam gas sector in Australia.

Firms: Blake Dawson (Nippon Gas), Minter Ellison (Clean TeQ)

Deal: 50:50 joint venture to market Clean TeQ's water treatment technologies to the coal seam gas sector in Australia

Area: Corporate

Value: $4 million

Key players: The Blakes team was led by Damien Roberts, Natsuko Ogawa and Belinda Findlay

Deal significance: Clean TeQ is an environmental and mining services company engaged in the commercialisation of various air and water purification technologies. Nippon Gas is a Japan-based company primarily engaged in the supply of gas and gas equipment in Japan. The joint venture will market Clean TeQ's water treatment technologies to the coal seam gas sector in Australia.
"This timely investment will allow Nippon Gas to leverage its existing expertise for the benefit of the developing water treatment industry and Australia's mining industry generally,” said Roberts.
