Deal: Wipro acquires ATCO’s IT subsidiaries in Australia and North America and enters into a 10-year agreement to provide IT services to ATCO

Deal Significance: Wipro is a multinational IT Consulting and System Integration services company that is headquartered in Bangalore. It is one of India’s largest companies, with nearly 150,000 employees and a presence in 61 countries. The Times of India has reported that the 10-year outsourcing deal is valued at over $1.2 billion, making it the largest deal in the history of the company. ATCO is a Canadian based engineering company with over 9000 employees worldwide.  ATCO I-Tek, the company’s IT arm, has a Perth office that employs around 50 people.
