Area: Finance and projects

Key players: Finance and projects partner Alexander Danne (pictured) led the G+T team, assisted by partners John Schembri, Tony Holland and Damian McNair. Special counsel Luke Westmore and lawyers Catherine Zahra, Gail Christopher, Tony Rutherford, Jessica Cleave, Michael Zheng, Rhiannon Hough and Rob Sinni also assisted.

KWM acted for the funders' legal adviser, while HSF and Minters acted for the grantor legal adviser.

Deal significance: The project represents the first major investment in public health infrastructure on the Northern Beaches for some time.

The Healthscope consortium was announced as the successful bidder on the project in October 2014 and reached contractual close in December.

Commenting on the transaction, Mr Danne said, “The collocated model, with its unique interfaces, is likely to be of great interest to governments and health services providers both domestically and internationally and we expect to see future health projects draw from the learnings of this model.”
