Value: A$11 million

Area: M&A

Key players: The acquisition by Waterlogic of the Australian business of Just Water International was led by DLA Piper partner Dr Gerry Bean (pictured) and senior associate Dylan Burke, with assistance from Martin Wiseman and Chris Liddall from DLA Piper New Zealand.

Deal significance:

Waterlogic Australia is a subsidiary of the Waterlogic group, which is a leading provider of point-of-use (POU) water purification systems and dispensers throughout offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants and homes across Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Australia.

The acquisition increases Waterlogic's market share in the POU market in Australia. Just Water International operates in New Zealand supplying water-coolers, drinking water and filters for the home and office. The company was listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange (Alternative Market) in 2004.
