Joint venture secures WA contract

Ewan Robertson, Piper Alderman

A joint venture between Giovenco Industries and Monadelphous Group has been awarded a Karratha Gas Plant services contract with advice from a national firm.

Firms: Piper Alderman (Giovenco Industries Aust Pty Ltd); in-house counsel (Monadelphous Group)

Deal: Giovenco Industries entered into a joint venture with Monadelphous Group Limited

Value: Undisclosed

Area: Corporate/commercial

Key players: The Piper Alderman team included partners Ewan Robertson (pictured) and Tim Coleman, and associate Lucy Carter

Deal significance:

Stork company Giovenco Industries established MGJV, a joint venture with Monadelphous Group Limited.

MGJV was established to secure a new contract for services on the Woodside-operated Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program, in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, according to a statement from Piper Alderman.

MGJV will provide a range of services to the Karratha Gas Plant Life Extension Program, including the planning and execution of mechanical, electrical, access, fire protection application, blasting and painting, cladding and insulation services.

It is scheduled to commence in early 2016 for a two-year period.

Piper Alderman partner Ewan Robertson said: “We were delighted recently to partner with and advise Stork on its acquisition of Giovenco, and it is exciting to continue to work with the business as it grows its operations in Australia.”
