East coast expansion for hospitality business

East coast expansion for hospitality business

Michael Graves, Allens

A global firm advised Dixon Hospitality on its acquisition of six Beer DeLuxe venues on the east coast.

Firms: Allens (Dixon Hospitality); Bazzani Scully Priddle (Beer DeLuxe)

Deal: Dixon Hospitality acquired six Beer DeLuxe venues in NSW and Victoria

Value: Undisclosed

Area: M&A

Key players: The Allens team was led by partners Michael Graves and Emin Altiparmak, with assistance from senior associates Matti Bechler and Claudina Vranken, and lawyers Annie Zheng and Helen Coker.

Deal significance: Dixon Hospitality acquired six Beer DeLuxe venues across NSW and Victoria, including those in the entertainment precincts of King Street Wharf in Sydney and Federation Square in Melbourne.

“Dixon has a great reputation as a leading non-gaming pub business. The acquisition of Beer DeLuxe expands its business into the craft beer market and adds to its stable of high profile properties,” lead partner Michael Graves (pictured) said.

While Allens was unable to disclose the deal value, the AFR reported it to be just under $31 million.
