Deal significance: Seven West Media Limited has purchased newspaper The Sunday Times and website PerthNow from Nationwide News Pty Limited.

In addition to the acquisition, this complex transaction involved a two-way print and online content sharing and advertising representation deal, and the transfer of subscriptions and agreements for the printing and distribution of various newspaper titles including The Australian.

The acquisition was approved by the ACCC in September and was expected to be completed early this week.
