The IPO and listing of the emerging oil and gas explorer was oversubscribed and raised a total of $10 million. Jayne Steele led the firm’s team on the deal.
“The biggest challenge in the IPO was renegotiating the prior contractual relationship and farm-in opportunities for the company in order to properly structure its public offer,” she said. “That’s regularly the case in an initial public offering.”
Steele will continue her involvement with White Sands Petroleum following her appointment as a non-executive director of its board. She expects to bring a different perspective to the board and will be providing advice in relation to legal and regulatory compliance, as well as ensuring a high level of attention to corporate governance within the board.
