The Castello Group consists of 10 hotels throughout Victoria, including Angler's Tavern, Templestowe Hotel, Waterloo Cup Hotel, Long Beach Hotel, Kealba Hotel, Foresters Arms Hotel, Pakeham Inn, Castello's Pakeham Hotel, Castello's Berwick Spring's Hotel, Croyden Hotel and Royal Oak Hotel.
Individual venues include facilities such as bistros, children's playgrounds, sports bars, electronic gaming, cafes, nightclubs, wagering, drive-through bottle shops, conference and function facilities and beer gardens. The Costello Group has a workforce of more than 900 people.
This acquisition, which included associated gaming venues, makes the privately owned Dominion Hotel Group the second largest hotel group in Australia.
Lead partners on the deal were Tim Watkin and Matthew Hibbins, while Bazzani Scully Brand advised Castello Group.
