A FORMER naked male model appeared in the High Court in Edinburgh this week to see the angry car driver who damaged his, err, assets, sentenced to jail, reports Edinburgh's Evening News.

Model John Wotherspoon, 24, told the court he suffered a badly scraped tushy after Alexander Bogdanovic sideswiped him with his Volvo outside a nightclub in June last year. The injuries, he said, cost him his job as a male entertainer at hens parties as part of a troupe known as Butlers in the Buff.

Bogdanovic, a self-employed aerial fixer of Lasswade, Midlothian, faced a charge of attempted murder for allegedly deliberately accelerating his Volvo at Wotherspoon, hitting him and driving off with him still on the bonnet of the car.

The jury at the High Court found Bogdanovic guilty of the reduced charge of assault to the danger of life and failing to report an accident.

The attack occurred after Wotherspoon and Bogdanovic argued in the Lava and Ignite nightclub earlier that night. Bogdanovic later drove his car at Wotherspoon and friends as they left the nightclub at 3am. Bogdanovic had earlier been thrown out by bouncers.

Wotherspoon told the court that after the accident, which injured his nose, cheek, eye and bottom, he suffered tiredness and stress and felt "paranoid". He said those symptoms and his scarred derriere meant he was unable to continue his job as a "butler" at parties, wearing only a tie and apron.

Folklaw fully understands his appearance for the sentencing. Sometimes is just isn't possible to turn the other cheek.
