The judge ruled that one nightclub was "trendy" while the other was "a place where people go to pull", reported Rollonfriday.com.
Lava Ignite nightclub attempted to prevent HMV Picture House hosting club nights after Lava claimed that terms from the sale of agreement prevented HMV from putting on competing events.
HMV argued it was targeting a different audience and the judge agreed, classifying HMV as "studenty" and "trendy" while Lava was "a place to go get trashed" and where "people go to pull".
Folklaw wonders whether Lava might consider the judge's comments as inadvertent publicity.
