Channel Nine's Underbelly can add yet another fan to its list: Victoria's Justice Betty King - the same judge responsible for banning the show across Victoria in 2008 - has admitted the show is "very entertaining".

According to the Herald Sun, Justice King revealed her fondness for the show while commenting in the Young Lawyers Journal on the celebrity treatment given to the criminals of the underworld.
In an interview, Justice King admitted that she watched all 13 episodes of the first Underbelly season in one sitting and found it "very entertaining" - before banning it the next day.
"I watched all 13 episodes, starting at 6pm and delivered the judgment the next morning," Justice King told the Young Lawyers Journal.
"I found it very entertaining and that's one reason it had to be banned as it had such an impact."
In 2008, Justice King banned the show from airing across Victoria believing it would prejudice an underworld murder trial.
Justice King also reiterated her opposition to the growing celebrity status of judges, having her Wikipedia posting removed as well as a Facebook profile that was created for her.
