For Miami lawyer Brittney Horstman a client was incarcerated at the Miami Federal Detention Center. Unfortunately, however, bra liberation did not help their case.

Horstman was asked to remove her bra due to its underwire setting off the metal detector as she attempted to enter the prison - thus barring her from entry.

Above the Law reports that bras are not banned at the prison, but an informal policy does appear to be in place - and certain women, it seems, may be at risk of encouraging prisoners to bust out.

At the guards' request, Horstman removed the bra but upon her return to the metal detectors she was stopped again and this time informed that it was against prison dress code guidelines to NOT wear a bra.

According to the Miami Herald, this is a common dilemma facing female lawyers in Miami. Sourcing wireless bras is no easy feat, and Folklaw thinks that if ever there was a city that needed a non-wireless bra shop business plan, then Miami would have to be it.
