In the town of Dublin, Georgia it is about to become a crime to look stupid.

According to CNN, Dublin mayor Phil Best is teaching young teenagers what they should have grasped earlier on in life - to pull their pants up.

Saggy, baggy pants have been placed in the category of indecent exposure, along with offences such as fornication and urination in public places.

Best is planning to sign an amendment to the municipality's indecent exposure ordinance, prohibiting the wearing of pants or skirts "more than three inches below the top of the hips exposing the skin or undergarments".

"We've gotten several complaints from citizens saying the folks with britches down below their buttocks was offensive, and wasn't there something we could do about it," Best said.

Those caught with their pants down in Dublin could face a fine ranging between $25 and $200 or court-mandated community service.

Folklaw agrees with the move and hopes that Australia adopts similar laws to prevent teenage girls from wearing low-riding jeans exposing muffin top (and their underwear), men wearing Crocs, or anyone dressed head-to-toe in Ed Hardy.
