Fans of Hollywood actress Demi Moore were well and truly left hanging yesterday when she failed to turn up to a scheduled court appearance in Melbourne.

Instead, in her usual style, the actress was busy tweeting about the fact she had a deer in the backyard of her home in the US.
According to The Australian, the only thing to see at court was a few boring old barristers announcing to the Federal Court that Moore was otherwise occupied (i.e. tweeting about native fauna) and would not be making an appearance.
Moore's lawyers had assured the public on Friday that she would be coming down under to give evidence in her dispute with the publisher of New Idea magazine over photos she claimed breached her copyright. But yesterday it was announced an "in principle" settlement had been agreed by the parties.
Pacific Magazines confirmed this in a statement, saying: "The parties have resolved their differences and are glad that this matter is now behind them."
Moore was suing Pacific Magazines for printing a series of snaps of herself and her daughter, Orlando Bloom, P. Diddy, Cameron Diaz and Amanda De Cadenet at a 2008 post-Oscars party.
