About our client...
Our client is a well established boutique style specialist law firm conveniently located in the Melbourne CBD with a strong reputation for their building, construction and property law expertise.  They are now able to offer a tremendous career opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer who is keen to focus & further develop their profile in Building/Construction disputes.  

About the role...

Working closely with highly experienced Partner(s)/colleagues you will have the autonomy to manage your own files typically for high quality clients eg. developers; construction corporations; contractors, (including both private and public) and work collaboratively as part of a team on thee larger, more complex matters. 

Focusing on Building and Construction Litigation our client is open to considering candidates at around 5+ yrs post admission with solid litigation experience including Building and Construction Disputes gained within a recognised team of a similar specialist law practice.  Candidates with a broader background in commercial litigation with a genuine interest in focusing on building and construction disputes will also be considered.

About you...
Ideally, desired candidates will have:-
  • 5 years' experience with an unrestricted Practising Certificate
  • A strong dispute resolution background with proven experience in mediations, arbitrations, negotiation, adjudication and expert determination, preparation of adjudication applications and responses pursuant to the security of payment legislation;
  • Ability to manage small matters (with guidance of a Partner) whilst being part of a team role in larger, more complex matters.
  • Strong drive, initiative and ability to effectively manage competing priorities;
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills;
  • Leadership qualities to inspire others less experienced within the team.
