An opportunity exists for a lawyer with approximately 3-7 years’ post admission experience to join our highly respected corporate team working closely with industry experts.

Drawing on your current expertise, the role requires a candidate with a minimum of 3 years’ PAE with a proactive, client-oriented style, good drafting skills and demonstrated commercial acumen. 

The role will see you working within an experienced corporate team in a collegiate environment on a variety of matters, which may entail the following:

  • acting in merger and acquisition and divestment transactions, including conducting due diligence investigations and drafting key transaction agreements;
  • providing general corporate and commercial advice;
  • preparing and advising on governing documents such as constitutions and stakeholder agreements;
  • advising on and drafting commercial contracts;
  • preparing commercial facility agreements and advising on the Personal Property and Securities Act;
  • advising on competition law matters;
  • working with in-house counsel and business managers to provide legal solutions direct to business.

As a valued member of our team, you will have the autonomy of conducting your own matters with direct support and coaching and mentoring of partners and senior lawyers. Well-developed communication skills and success in building collaborative relationships are essential, as is a results orientation and a ‘can do’ attitude.
