  • An exciting opportunity to work within a groundbreaking practice tackling financial abuse at Redfern Legal Centre
  • Status: part-time (28 hours per week), 12-month contract position.
  • Salary: $88,415 - $92,230 pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience. Superannuation and annual leave loading is paid in addition to this and salary packaging* is available.

The primary responsibility of the Credit and Debt Solicitor is to provide specialised legal advice and casework to people who have experienced financial abuse in areas such as consumer credit, banking and debt. The solicitor may supervise, train, and mentor volunteers to provide this service. The solicitor will also contribute to strategic policy and law reform work, test case litigation and present community legal education sessions.

The solicitor must be available for advice sessions on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (9am to 1pm) each week.
