About the role...
An opportunity has been identified within their Melbourne Funds Management Practice for a talented & capable Lawyer, with a min. of 5 years p.a.e., to take up a key role providing advice/services to a broad range of specialised Financial Services clients requiring:-
  • Extensive advisory exp. in relation to Managed (& non-Managed) Investment Schemes (eg. Property, Agribusiness, listed Equities, Alternative Asset Classes and Mortgages), Corporate Capital Raising (applications for licenses, project structure, disclosure), Private Clients (investment structuring, trust deeds, beneficiaries etc.) and other related matters eg. incl., securities, foreign investment, management & leasing agreements and general commercial work.
  • Drafting expertise eg. complex funding related agreements, applications, scheme documentation, offer documents, trust deeds, statements etc;
  • Strong Corporations Act (& other Acts)/ASIC regulatory policy knowledge.
With the support & mentoring of an exceptional Partner & the team more broadly this role offers the opportunity for a proven performer from a similar environment to work closely with a broad range of premium clientele and utilise your networking/business development skills to further build both your profile and more broadly the practice! 

Ideal candidates will have...
  • A proven Financial Services/Funds Management background (min. 5 years); 
  • Self-motivated & ambitious, keen to grow profile & niche practice;
  • Excellent client engagement/networking ability;
  • Outstanding communication/drafting skills;
  • Desire to work collaboratively & independently, within a team environment.
