An exciting and unique career opportunity is now available for a talented and highly experienced Property Development Lawyer to join this industry leading Property Development company, recognised for its innovation and passion for building iconic developments across Australia.

Our client...
Proudly Australian Owned, this highly successful company have developed over $2 billion worth of quality real estate in premium locations. 

With over $800 million worth of developments currently in the pipeline, typically ranging from 40 to 400 residential apartments they now seek to appoint a highly capable Property Development Lawyer.

About the role... 
As the sole Property Lawyer in the company, you will work very closely with the General Counsel and CEO advising the business on a broad range of property matters, including:-
  • Property development contracts an legal matters generally
  • Sale and acquisitions for commercial, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties
  • Property due diligence
  • Real estate banking finance
  • Commercial & retail leasing
You will also lead all relationships with external law firms on property related matters and be able to work independently
 
About you ..
To be successful in this role, you will need:-
  • Strong current generalist Property law skills (including property development) of at least 7 years + PAE, gained within a recognised leading law firm and/or in a similar in-house role. 
  • Excellent negotiation/drafting skills;
  • Highly developed, effective communication skills -both written & oral;
  • Strong attention to detail and knowledge of industry standard contracts and relevant legislation;
  • Possess an approachable manner in order to assist others in a team environment and;
  • Be able to multi task and manage competing priorities.
