About the Role:  

An exciting opportunity exists at our Corporate Office in Wacol for a commercially minded property lawyer to implement an effective and efficient enterprise wide approach to managing the JBS Australia Group’s real property interests in line with the Group’s objectives.  While a full-time position is proposed, candidates seeking a part-time role (at least 70% FTE) may be considered.   



·         Support and advise relevant managers throughout the business to ensure the Group’s contractual and regulatory obligations are being met

·         Identify opportunities for efficiencies or other benefits under the Group’s property arrangements

·         Proactively manage termination dates, renewal timelines and similar deadlines

·         Review, draft, negotiate and register commercial leases including NSW retail property leases and other property related arrangements

·         Prepare and lodge FIRB applications

·         Manage property related sales and acquisitions, disputes and litigation



·         Holds a current unrestricted practicing certificate in an Australian jurisdiction

·         Minimum 2 years PQE

·         Business background preferred (in-house legal or other commercial experience in a property related role)

·         Strong technical legal skills in property related matters particularly leasing and FIRB compliance

·         Experience in NSW retail leasing is desirable

·         Proven ability to work autonomously and within a team environment, and to liaise with stakeholders at all levels

·         Excellent attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

·         Strong computer skills (Office, Outlook)

·         Must be commercial, pragmatic, robust and able to work in a fast paced environment
