The Role

We are looking to fill a number of positions in Defence Legal across a number of practice areas including commercial and general advising. We also intend to create a merit pool from this recruitment round that we can draw from for others roles as they arise.

Defence Legal offers a breadth and variety of legal work and is composed of numerous practice areas including public international law, commercial, operational law, security law, complex dispute resolution, litigation, ICT, infrastructure, property and estate, administrative law, Military Justice and numerous others.

We are an agile workforce and there is scope for movement between positions depending on individual interests.

Our Ideal Candidate

To be successful in these roles you will need proven leadership skills as well as:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial, litigation, international law or general legal practice.
  • A collaborative, positive, team focused and collegiate outlook.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Relationship management, client engagement and team building skills.
  • Ability to lead a team to provide pragmatic, responsive and results focused advice.
