About the role... Owing to a strong growth phase this highly successful company now seeks to appoint a new & highly capable Property Lawyer, perhaps looking for that elusive 'in-house' opportunity, to work closely with their Head of Property & Construction (an LIV Accredited Specialist) on a variety of challenging and often complex property related matters. Advising the business on a broad range of matters, including (but not limited to):-
Leasing of commercial, industrial & retail property (predominant focus)
Property development contracts and legal matters generally
Property sales/acquisition for commercial, retail, industrial and mixed-use properties
Project development agreements
Property due diligence
Finance related arrangements/agreements
You will be working very closely with key stakeholders within the Property Management, Acquisitions, Planning and Construction teams across the business on property related matters and be able to work independently as part of a team.
About you .. To be successful in this role, you will need:-
Strong current Property law skills, particularly leasing, (circa 5-10 yrs PQE), gained within a recognised property law team and/or in a similar in-house role.
Excellent negotiation/drafting skills;
Highly developed, effective communication skills -both written & oral;
Strong attention to detail and knowledge of industry standard contracts and relevant legislation;
Possess an approachable manner in order to assist a variety of stakeholders and;
Be able to multi task to manage often competing priorities.
