The Federal Court, through its National Court Framework, is undertaking a significant recruitment exercise of new Judicial Registrar positions and other key legal roles. The aim of the Court is to secure highly capable senior legal staff to lead the next phase of its internal reforms and to enhance the legal support provided to Federal Court judges through the important legal work of registrars. A variety of exciting positions with different areas of focus exist both locally and nationally: Senior National Judicial Registrar: Any capital city National Judicial Registrar & District Registrar: 3 positions - one position in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane National Judicial Registrar – Native Title: Any capital city Judicial Registrar & District Registrar: Hobart Judicial Registrar (Migration): Any capital city Judicial Registrar: Any capital city National Registrar: Multiple positions - Any capital city To be a strong contender for these roles, you will need to have experience in civil litigation gained from private practice, industry or in-house roles. You apply intellectual rigour, have strong leadership qualities and are forward-thinking and innovative in focus. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to engender trust and respect, working collegiately and collaboratively with judges, registrars, staff and the legal profession.
The Senior Executive positions (SES 2 and SES 1) will have a remuneration package negotiated for successful candidates, which will include base salary, executive vehicle allowance and superannuation of 15.4% of base salary. The balance of the positions will have an applicable salary range, plus 15.4% superannuation.
