About the Position
An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an experienced solicitor to join a successful and longstanding law firm. Reporting to the Principal and Practice Manager, you will work on a diverse range of Litigation and Family Law matters. Working with a range of clients from diverse backgrounds, this role is required to prepare matters to the highest quality for our clients.
Advise clients on legal matters and research on matters
Carry out research and draft documents, such as affidavits and other documents
Run your own files from instruction to completion in a timely manner
Maintain detailed file notes
Assist clients with a range of litigation matters, in all jurisdictions of the courts, boards and tribunals
Instructing counsel at conferences, mediations and court hearings
Focus of this role is to build lasting relationships and meet clients' needs.
This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Selection Criteria:
3 years PAE in commercial litigation and hold a current practicing certificate
Sound knowledge of family law is essential; criminal law would be beneficial
Court appearances experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a part of a team
Sound computer skills and ability to type own reports, court documents, letters and undertake data entry
Proven conflict resolution skills
Strong analytical and research skills
High attention to detail and excellent drafting skills
Effective time management and organisational skills
