About the Role:
This newly created role will be based in their Head office (Melbourne CBD) and report in to their delightful Group Workplace Relations Manager to provide you with ongoing mentoring and support. As a pivotal player in their National Human Resources team you will be directly involved in the planning, direction and implementation of ER/IR activities and strategies for the organisation's National operations. 

Some of the key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):-
  • Supporting operational change initiatives;
  • Providing tactical & strategic advice around complex IR/ER matters;
  • Working with leaders in the prevention/resolution of disputes/grievances; 
  • Conduct complex investigations and disciplinary matters
  • Working closely with unions and employee representatives
  • Overseeing any employment related litigation;
  • Interpret, apply and advise on Legislation, Policy etc.; 
  • Ensuring compliance with employment related legal standards & regulatory requirements; and
  • Manage, lead & negotiate across a range of HR/IR matters.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have:
  • Proven Industrial Relations/Employment Relations expertise eg. managing industrial & workplace relations matters incl. industrial bargaining, industrial advocacy and industrial disputes;
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR/Law (strong knowledge of State/Federal Employment laws);
  • Highly developed analytical and drafting skills with attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work to an exceptional standard;
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders (both internal & external) from varied industries and backgrounds.
This role will require regular travel across Australia and New Zealand, sometimes at short notice.
