LAW firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has scooped a human resource award at the Australian Human Resources Institute National Awards 2009.

The firm was up against finalists Beiersdorf Australia Limited, Bupa Australia, Comcare Australia, Guild Group and Luxottica in the medium-sized organizations category. The award recognises the performance of an HR team against rigorous people management standards and benchmarks.

The selection process for finalists included an in-depth review of Corrs’ people metrics including staff satisfaction and retention, as well as surveying members of the partnership and Executive Team.

The award acknowledges the HR team’s success in supporting the firm’s 2010 goals and achievements such as a one-third reduction in attrition, four employer of choice awards, improved graduate acceptance rates and a significantly increased investment in learning and development.
